I've been thinking about trying megaloops.
And I figure whether I nail it or fail it, it's bound to make an interesting vid.
Has anyone else got a vid of their very first megaloop attempt to post on this thread

Its the easiest move to execute (kiteloops), but yeah.... It's all in the head.

Took me a good 6 months to get the guts to give it a crack.

Psycojoe- give them a crack at Mullaloo, the water is a bit deeper than hitting kickers at scabs.

I tried them in 2010 as I seen some local heros laying them down in +30knots I ate **** and didn't try them for a while. Im doing down loops ages now (front hand) or back roll kite loops / hand drags (back hand high jumps) the past year Or 2. in the past months / sessions I've noticed whilst I'm getting into proper loops(back hand) fully committed counting one thousand two thousand in my head then ripping on the bar that even with my eyes closed now I know where the kite is in the window. Personally I think it's better to ease into them and knowing your gear is best. Please do video it my first ones back in the day would make for a good laugh.
Do not half pull that bar fish pole the **** out of it!!!!

You mean Kite Loops - as in the first time video posted by emz.
To MegaLoop - make sure your at least 10+meters in the air before you even think about turning the bar..
and when you do, be sure to steer it round (Not fishpole) so the kite and lines go Horizontal, pulling you that hard at it - the lines go slack just before you freefall into the swing under..
Then heli loop it the opposite way for landing.
Thats a megaLoop dont tell Kempy - youll spoil his day

This bloke Steven Akkersdijk knows his loops.

I find the best loops are when you complete the first loop, then when about to land, loop the kite a second time the opposite direction. This saves you outrunning your kite and having your lines go super slack.

Boots help with landing, but I always found my board with boots really heavy, so a standard twin tip is fine.

Yeh Iv seen him do plenty of big loops but I don't think any of them are mega loops.

when I think of megaloop, I think of Lenten at capetown in 45knots, on i kite that loops deep and powerful.

Ive been working on kitelooping lately but still not getting high enough or getting the kite low enough for a megaloop. You'll definitely need to downloop on the way down otherwise your lines will go slack and your legs wont like the landing.

If you get the kite low enough you should have this look on your face

This is probably one of my biggest loops on camera. And I would say it would have to be double the size to call it a "megaloop

Yep you must have started the loop pretty low to be level at that height.. great shot though for flatwater
