^^ hi sorry mate i hadn't checked the forum again otherwise could have tee'd somethin up pm me if you would like to get in on future downwinders.

First seabreeze of the season and first downwinder went really well- wind was a little patchy 18 to 20 knots s/sse with just a little offshore to it making the waves nice and clean and an easy wind angle for drifting the kite. Winter sand banks meant that the waves were breaking a nice distance from shore plus a decent bit of swell, with the biggest sets around head high, made for some great rides. Some surfers in the water to look out for and beautiful joggers running past as we had a celebratory beer in the carpark, if it had been warmer I would have sworn it was summer

Have 10 days at horrocks with my family and 85yo mum visiting from pommy land. Kited every day so far and feels like summer has arrived. Next week looks good too. Unreal.

We had the pond to ourselves for a good 2 hours.
Then the water started making us itchy, so we busted it out to penguin island.

Was perfectly powered on the old faithful 11.

That's the WA i remember.

Definitely share that sentiment, that was until one of my bridle pulleys sh@t itself in the middle of the pond.
If you haven't used ur kit for a while, not a bad idea to check it out before taking off out to sea..

Check next week, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday- it's just yellow arrows but it has the summer easterly morning seabreeze in the arvo pattern

(If only there was some sort of WA specific section we could discuss these things in)
