Ok so aside from the obvious developments like depower and single line flagging systems, it would be interesting to hear your 2 cents worth: The best vs the worst - gizmos/ gadgets/ "must haves"

Best: Velcro leg straps - prevent wetsuit jelly legs a bloody treat

Worst: Heel straps - thought they were gonna be killer back in the day when I got them, caught so many front edges I took them off the same afternoon I bought them

Two of the worst

Dynabar and one pump good,

the original party balloon style pumps, very bad...

Foils

Good - RE hardshell harness and sliding spreaders.

Badder than bad - Kite pants, thankfully most images of people using them seem to have disappeared from google.....

Dude, get a new bucket hat/ anti melanoma cover... They don't use felcrow.. They have a plastic clip made in China. Get with it lawn mower.. Ff sake!


And they're way better than melanomas and pushing up daisies for all the wannabe COOL cancer kooks. If you don't want a bucket hat, at least give a donation to the anti cancer council foundation. And cover up for your family if you can't do it for yourself. Melanoma kills and is a biatch. Not COOL

The height devices for measuring jumps are a wicked bit of kit. For any real jumpaholic I strongly recommend one. I'm loving mine at the minute as it is and has been A GAME CHANGER for me, I've even stopped drinking before sessions now. It puts in perspective that your not actually as good as Hadlow or any Of the pros and what you consider a good jump is in fact not near where u really need to be. It lets u push your self that bit further. The device since getting it has Got me into tuning the board better and setting up my kite different something I never would of ginned around with before. Now after every sesh I can log the conditions settings on board settings on kite, Fin length foot strap positions.... ect.

I would not slate any inventions for the sport as all have led to good times on the water be it in testing or holding on to a 2 liner for dear life. Smiles all round that's what we want ??

worst: Naish wrist leash (with velcro no less) on an ARX bar plus Naish/North bladders and valves 2004 - 2010

best: North Dyno, Airush Sector V2 and North Nugget

Worst: kite raceboards. Razor sharp fins. No fun to ride at all.

Best: Almost everything else. Special mention to Airush Sector, most modern kites, foils, strapped surfboards.

Best. LF over size inflate valve. Durable grind base. Slingshot gummy straps

Worst. Velcro on boots. 2015 best kites and bars. 2015 airush inflate valve.

Dangerous. Single webbing strap on harnesses. Reel leash.
