I am looking at changing from shinn to something els, ive broken the last two monks and my brothers between them have broken the bronq 5 times yes its under warranty but im still not happy with it. Whats everyone riding ? I always ride in the surf and i have a directional but prefer the freedom of twintip

Yep not cheap , but the materials and workmanship
Leaves all brands looking cheap in comparison, I know half a dozen blokes who have had them for 5 years or so, they see them as a one off lifetime bit of kit, the process of manufacture is very personal making it to your exact requirements, up close you wouldn't question the cost, the price void in carbon is huge, some looks like it but is far from it, spoke with starboard boardmaker, he was telling me that some brands are just printing a carbon weave onto paper
And glassing it in to make it look like it, and still charging top wack, as for Shinn I've had monks and bronq all models and thrashed them , only issue was the 1st model which had what looked like a crack through the guts on the base, but just it fixed up for $120 professionally, not bad for 5/6 season's of hammer, in all honestly the way it looked,flexed and weight I thought it'd last a season, there's a point between performance and longevity in a tt s manufacture

Ohhhhhh..... Mine is the bomb!........

You cant beat a well made mutant to boost and wave ride.

Now I just need to license someone to manufacture them for me.

Thanks for the reply not really wanting to spend over 1200 so 3500 is a bit out of budget. I am now looking at crazyfly raptor, duotone jamie pro etc. I will look into the ocean rodeos

The Zeeko Bhoot TT has an asymmetric outline that works sweet in waves. the more curved toeside edge makes your toeside bottom turns nicer and can cut through the choppy bits easier. If you are destroying that many boards you really need to move to a wakeboard type construction kiteboard, they are a lot more heavy duty.

Freestyle boards are crap in the surf to rigid and just dont turn well

I've had a heap of twin tips for the surf ,even had the ocean rodeo mako 150. That board ate chop but couldn't handle fast aggressive turns it just slid out no matter what fin configuration. The liquid force lunar lander is good in the waves , but my all time favorite is the Jimmy Lewis
model 3 139. Just bought a new one as mine is battered after 6 years.

Why on earth would i want virgin ewes. Give me raging ho's an day.

b4 I used surfboards I rode cab customs, later CBL the banana rocker great in the waves and still good as a twinnie in flat water/chop if you want a one size fits all, I'm sure other brands have similar wakestyle boards but they are heavy and need more kite grunt.

Can't imagine taking a twinnie out the waves now, just feels wierd unless waves are 1 foot and depth of water about the same.

Had Mako, poor flex properties. On a TT I find the flex makes a big difference in carving hard without slipping. I spent the money on a Nomad and did not regret it and I dont see anything better on the market. I anticipate you will end up with a Nomad sooner or later, save yourself the trouble. Idealy test one, but i know they are relatively rare.

Sorry but yes there's gst on any order now under 1000.
plus it is on the product price plus the freight plus the import duty and fees. appox 21%
So 895 + 175 = 1070euro @0.60E/aud =$1783aud

1783 x 1.21 = $2158aud

I purchased a 2017 Cabrinha Tronic 145 x 43 a couple of years ago. I'm 184cm - 84kg.
I enjoy catching waves, carving but still enjoy lofty airs and basic tricks (front/back rolls, grabs etc).

Cant say a bad thing about it. The are perfect for the conditions I ride on the east coast of Aus. They've been around for a while now with the shapes remaining relatively the same throughout the years. I've flirted with strapped surfboards/twintips but for me the Tronic gives me the most rounded option for what I enjoy doing.

You would not be disappointed!

Most not all. Some of us ride all sorts of boards even directional like the strapless God's on this forum. A board for every condition is what you need , not a narrow mind.

Plenty of kooks out there on SB's thinking they're Keahi in 2 foot slop. At that point a surf TT is brilliant.

I used to get this attitude from one guy who thought his **** didn't stink. I remember him telling me one particular location was for surfboards only.....

Well he shut up pretty quickly when he was too scared to go out because the conditions were too big and windy. I happily rode my offensive mutant in those crazy ass conditions all the time....

Be cool, don't be a dick. Let everyone have their fun, even if you cant see that its fun.

That's the truth if I have ever seen it.
short tacking in the break, usually afraid to go out the back to get upwind, severe lack of common sense. Usually loosIng their boards and body drag around the lineup. Best trick is a bum
air dangling from a 5 strut high aspect kite which anyone can boost on. Can we ban them until it's 30knots to stop all the kooks giving kiting a bad name

Last time I checked they don't run KOTA until it's over 30 knots and people aren't cutting each other off to do their 6m bum air
