Hopefully the pic below is clear enough, but my footpad glue has given away from the plastic base plate. I recently tried using Selleys Ultra Repair and not only was it expensive but it lasted two kite sessions.

I am considering using my hot melt glue gun or maybe some Sikaflex silicon adhesive but before going down that pathway would like to know what others have had success with. Obviously it has to have water resistant qualities and a level of flexibility.

Cheers for the advice!

I used shoo goo type stuff -- waterproof flexible contact adhesive. Just follow the instructions for curing and coating...

Heh, yeah I've had to do two sets of footpads from Axis too

Hot Glue wont work because it dries brittle. I have never tried sikaflex in this sort of scenario but I like the sound of it. Not many glues are more flexible or strong.

Been using stormsure myself. Its pretty good. Flexible and doesn't dry out if you leave it in the freezer between uses.

They changed how they did the next version red pads, but water blasting into the seams separated them a little too.

I did them in NZ and they're still going strong, so there must be something at Bunnings or Mitre10 :D

Make sure they're clean and free of the old glue, and that you've separated as much as you can eg. any weak bond that you can pull apart. Follow the instructions :D remember, they made the Mossie out of wood and contact cement and it kicked ass.
