that is so freakin epic!!!! I would like to see more of the kite in motion, to see when he sends it to a downloop at the end. The kite so far behind him is almost like a brake for his forward momentum. Sure takes some cajones to pull that kind of air off consistently. Nice find.

Why would anyone want to unhook and do a ******y pissant low jump when they can hook in and boost to the moon?

I doubt even Chuck Norris could unhook a 9m in those winds. Even hooked in he's lucky his harness didn't just cut him into two pieces.

Was lucky enough to be sitting in Jerry's (bar across the road) watching that session on Sunday. Video does no justice to how huge those jumps are. So epic to watch pros like Kevin show what is possible with a kite.

Yeh true, He would have looked like a spastic epileptic monkey, but would win the next King of the Air...

Unhookers love unhooking. The other 99.999% couldn't give a toss.

The bigger question is why the hell weren't you out enjoying the **** out of the conditions? getting a bit soft in your old age?

Was waiting for that comment Plummet - I'd had WAY too many hours on the water already at that point in the day to still be out there. Got to say I'm loving CT, chilled scene really, with lots of great down to earth kiters - even the 'rock stars' are a just part of the crew.

Nice. Its on my bucket list to get there one day. I have too many kids and not enough money to consider big overseas trips at the mo!

Of coarse. When you you loop your kite, the sooner you loop it the more it pulls. So if you loop it at the peak of your jump there is less power then when you loop on the the way up.
So if you mega loop you won't actually hit the apex of the jump because you looped it befor you get there.
If you see some super hard pulling mega loops they are pulling the trigger at 3/4 the way up the jump.

As a faithful pivot owner I would like to point out that it was the pivot that Kevin was flying when he launched 28.3 metres, yes I know he could probably boost to the moon on an old beach towel but still this shows the pivot can go huge

The kevvlog is one of my favourite kiting series, it really shows the stoke of kiting
