Other posts on here recommend for beginners using a small tinny and slow speed.
I now have everything ready with 12ft tinny and 8hp. Just waiting for suitable conditions so stay tuned.
My experience is 5 sessions with a kite.

Yeah I did I with the liquid force foilfish set up when I first learnt...it's tricky, main thing we found was that you don't need as much power on the take off, if you floor it the foil just jumps straight out of the water and you fall off straight away. Start with a much slower acceleration. If possible also aim to get out of the boat wake on the take off, the turbulence can shake the foil around under the water. Life-jacket and helmet recommended in case you head-butt the board or foil. Also don't go too fast in the boat. Go as slow as possible to start with, don't try and fly the foil at first, just get used to applying front foot pressure and the 'stiffness' of the turning. After a while try kick up the foil for small flights, and build up from there. The falls are brutal at first so starting slow will mean you can have a longer session without getting ruined. Good luck

Saw a Youtube video of a bloke in Canada who teaches foiling behind a 6hp tinny on lakes. He claimed they only took a couple of hours to get their muscle memory, and how to get the correct forwards stance. Sounds plausible to me.
