It should take only 5 minutes or so to get the new foil dialled in. Almost anything newer is going to be better than the Liquid Force.
Why go for full race? Freeride is a lot more versatile. Even better is a quiver of foils. I have a low speed foil for waves and sketchy conditions and a higher aspect for more speed and agility.
Also, why only KFA and Moses? There's lots of brands to choose from, although many you have to buy online. I am a big fan of J Shapes from NZ. I could not be happier with my gear and the prices are very reasonable.
www.jshapes.com/I have the J Shapes Cruzer and Freeride foils with the 95cm mast. Until recently I was riding the 155cm board. Now I have the 120cm.
Surprisingly changing the board makes a massive difference. Everything up on the foil is faster and much more agile. Surface moves are much more difficult. Even straight line speed is faster.
The bigger board is more forgiving and easier but the smaller board is huge amounts of fun. It has forced me to get better at foiling foot swaps and things are progressing nicely.
