I have finally nailed carving powered tacks and 360's. It took well over 100 hours of pretty concerted practice. I'm 62 so if I can do it you can too.
There was a lot of time wasted overthinking. Trying this technique and that technique and working out the logic of it all. In the end I committed to slamming them out aggressively and it all came together.
By far the most important thing is the timing of the kite loop. No loop and you're completely screwed. Get the loop wrong and you'll either do a fairly decent attempt, or go for a drag.
As for Zeeko, I think people go more for name brands and stuff they can buy from a shop. Because of the price they want to kick and poke things and talk to guys.
I think Zeeko make perfectly good stuff, but there's not a lot of reason to buy it. Aluminum? Meh. Composite wings? Meh. Spitfire? Interesting but nobody else is doing it.
