Making fun of people falling over is low and likely he poured water over the path and then hides in his car and waits for school to knock off!
Every chance he's having a wank over it too...

Speak for yourself, that wasn't quite funny enough to justify VV to me.

That was cool. I wasn't relaxed with some that did not offer those on the ground a hand to get up. But big LOL from me.

I often wondered who that appealed to. I don't like the Three Stooges either. It's not political correctness. It's empathy.

I love an intelligent prank and I hated the stooges as a kid too, I could try and explain the difference of high brow and low brow but you wouldn't understand!

A couple of years ago, I was explaining to our son what the 3 stooges was all about, when there were much more than 3 of them.

Did a google and read that Curly died after a series of strokes - believed to have been caused by repeatedly getting belted around the head for the many films they made!

Please do try. No cut and paste. In your own big words.
Considering you don't know me I am amazed that you know I would not understand.

Forget the moralities. It just wasn't funny. The falling over or the commentary.

I'm gratified witticism is not lost on you seafever17 , slapstick came first with early caveman as he fell over the Dino dug. I guess when one fell into the campfire and ran around screaming 'ugh ugh ugh' then that really brought the house down if they knew how to build houses :D...

Im only guessing dinsdale but i recon a smart one got the idea of putting some rocks around the fire to prevent it happening again and civilisation was born.

First of all how can you call yourself a man if you don't like the three stooges? It's interesting to note that I have never met one single woman that liked the three stooges
And there is nothing as funny as watching someone crack their shin on a coffee table. Enjoying someone else's misery is an age old pleasure

C'mon. The Mona Lisa was VV for its time. Sometimes it is more appropriate. Filming giraffes, or pole-vaulters, or stilt walkers, or geysers, for example.

But seriously, if you watch practically any movie they use "vertical video" all the time!

Select to expand quote
You just said...

[cough cough] ...WHAT!?

While they'll be filming in wide screen, of course, they block out most of the scene with a shoulder, or a wall or something similar, leaving the focal point framed vertically. It's very common. You'll start noticing it all the time now.

I don't know the official term for it so couldn't find any more examples than this:

"Hello ladies. Would you like to join me in my vertical boudoir?"

Actually this guy is filming the ice slips in vertical mode, but the important part of the image is square, or slightly wide. His car bonnet makes it that way. Yes, it's a silly way to do it but it kinda works, placing the location of the narrator in a car very clearly.

Next week: I spoil nature documentaries. Think those animals are actually in the wild? Think they really have a microphone in there with the feasting lions?

Maybe this might be more to your taste Dezman,.
Logging on to my hotmail account I got a list of the top news stories from around the world in a list down the right hand side.
Amongst the 'must see' items was ,..
"Kim Kardashian randomly lactates."
And to round it all off nicely, another item was "Cat Sneezes"

I didn't click on either of them.
Maybe you can try them and report back.
I wouldn't want to miss anything important.
(although if it comes with video it might be worth a look )

The most disturbing part of the video was that the kids don't appear to have any situational awareness, it gives the impression that if there was a giant burning pit at that spot they would all just walk into it oblivious as to what is happening ahead.

As to funny, no.

Aussies dont walk into coffee tables, we walk into the towbar sticking out from the back of the ute.
Nothing like a 3/4" slab of steel mating with your shin to stop you dead in your tracks.

Its almost as bad as the lego bricks and meccano bolts that lurk with intent in our carpet.
