At last the hot spell has stopped. Perth is becoming unliveable due to climate change .

Looking forward to those cool days on the Swan again with a 20-25 knot NW blowing, heaven.

Down in Tassie it has been a bad summer as well.
Not enough warmth for me, also too overcast.

It always surprises me when people complain about how hot summer is in W.A. It's not like this is a recent phenomena!! I haven't looked at the records but it didn't seem excessively hot to me. How many days over 40? Maybe three or four?? Sure there were very few summer storms and nothing in the way of rain since November I think but the temps seemed average to me.

Personally I love it! Warm water, strong sea breezes, Ice cold beer never tastes better. Less Great Whites!!

Whats not to like??

Granted if you don't live on the cost and reap the cooling benefits of the seabreeze your comfort will suffer quite a bit

Not so hot but very dry here in the central to southern Queensland area. Quite green up north.

Wide Bay - Burnett region has been classified as drought affected. A dry winter is predicted.

The best summer for four years. No long hot spells, classic sea breeze pattern with plenty of strong sea breeze days.

^^^^ agreed, no long spells of heat, worst we got was 4 days of 40's ..... sometimes that happens a few times.
I think we had seabreeze at least once a week since Nov.
Spoilt for swell too, 2m plus for a whole week, 3x this year. That never happens!!!!!

I'm spewing summer is coming to an end. the more clean SWs the better. At least the surf will be getting better soon. Not sure which Perth you are from Peter, not the one in Scotland is it? Perth hardly ever has NWs but yes it is great when we get them.

The hottest night ever recorded might have been this year but prior to that it was 1983 and 1962.
Bush fires also are hardly a recent phenomena.

Shock tactic charts like the one above can be easily manipulated by selectively displaying info that fits.

I don't want to start a climate change deniers frenzy, Just saying it "felt" about normal.

An all time record minimum of 29.3 degrees was recorded in Perth in 1983 and 1962.
