Why do people feel the need to use "quote" instead of "reply" when they are replying to the last post? No wonder so many threads end up so damn long, everything in them is said three and four times.

Try using "quote" to pick up on something that is several posts back, and just bloody "reply" the rest of the time.

And perhaps only quote the small element your referring to?

I thought most people did this ^^^ if they were quoting or agreeing with a post directly preceeding theirs. If it is not the one directly above, then I thought quoting would've been acceptable.

In other forums, when you hit the quote button, only the text from the person you're quoting is shown. So you only ever get one level of quoting.

It works well.

Not that I... erm... ever visit other forums... I mean... I heard about it at the beach... or something...

LOL, what I think is funny is that you can quote and modify what you are quoting.... not that anyone would do that
