The first song is an early Peter Paul and Mary version of a traditional song. The second is a John Lennon song?

one thing to add, mashups often take the original and the plagiarised version and mash them together - because they work, obviously.

Britney apparently plagiarises her own songs. (You don't have to listen, in fact better you don't - just posting the proof)

If you steal a Riff or a couple of Chords it's called "Plagiarism"?
