Malthouse, who has a shoe in both camps summed it up today when interviewed. Umpire got it dead right Rioli could have been given, but wasn't, Collingwood player was in the wrong soon as his arms went high and tried to clamp Rioli down.

But it should have been by more if the umps had paid that free earlier in the game when Howe pulled the ball under him in the Eagles goal square.

And that two handed push/slam in the back of Darling dropping him to the ground in the pocket. Outrageous.


And the Pies got 33% more frees.

Those umps did everything their power to gift it to Collingwood.

I was tipping Collingwood by 6 or 7 goals. Haha!! I just thought the eagles are such an old fashioned team, and Coliingwood have 14 midfielders. it will only go one way. Anyway, it's good to look at a game where you don't really care for either team......though, I loved those old Eagles teams Jacovich, Brennan, Worsfold.....Sumich. How good was it to see Dean Kemp presenting the cup. What a player, and if you asked anyone under thirty who he was , no one would know,

ive lived in 7 different countries and had never heard of them, I'd say it's only the ex pats working overseas that would have a percentage of west Australians thus eagles fans
