Well just go's to show how out of touch the officials are when the umps rep is agreeing via radio link to his men on the field, that the free kick reversal was justified.

That bloke needs to be walked slowly to the nearest Optometrist. What a fool.
Even the Umpire Manager for the AFL on TV a few days later, indicated that the umpiring fraternity were well out of touch in "both" games on the weekend.
Goodness knows what sort of interpretation we will get this weekend for the GF then
What is of concern is the noise all about "we need three men in white on the field" and they still cant get anything close to a balanced view on any infringement.
Hard game to officiate in, but with three blokes out there they still make a mess of it. They cant use reasoning "oh we were unsighted" as constantly they will be on other side of play, and call a free, presuming there was an infringement, or they will belt down the ground on a bad out of bounds call to tidy it up, which shows obviously they can see infringements but fail to act..
This shows they can see correctly, but fail to do anything about it in case of upsetting their mate who just made a dumb call.
One rule interpretation that gets people howling, is the on the ground raking the ball back in. Originally this was clear cut, and opposing players couldn't hold the man on the ground with body weight to enhance the chance of a free. Now they not only have two or three lay all over him, they pin arms so he cant get it out. They changed or enhance the rule so any player doing this was freed against. Very very seldom called any more. No wonder it turns in to a ruck and mall show like Union or League.
