Man's dissociation with the colour Black, please explain?

black clothes. black cars, black motobikes, black eyebrows, black hats, black jelly beans,

are people suffering a lack of colour, or a preset to depression. It seems sad and maybe a bit frightening.

Does it symbolize power or mourning or both. We know why Johnny Cash wore black, for the underdog.

so is the black mob supporting this ? that being so why are there more black people, underdogs, than rainbow people

Are black wearers more likely to ink & pierce themselves ?

From the webby thingy ;

Scientifically, black is not a hue (color); a black object absorbs all the colors of the visible spectrum and reflects none of them. This is sometimes confused with black being called 'a mixture of all colors', but that is not the case. In fact, an object emitting or reflecting all colors is perceived as white. Black is not scientifically a colour

dissociation means detachment I thought. Don't you mean "man's attachment or attraction for all things black (which is not a colour )

It's because we have no colour sense and that's because we are not gay.
It's either wear what wifey says or black.

Black works next to pretty much any other colour. it's just easy and timeless as other colours come and go with cars and decoration.

One thing does show up on black, so I always take my clothes off for doing it.

I don't care what science says black is a colour, I go into a surf shop ....hey what colour fins do you want?
I then reply
A) black
B) oh I want those non coloured ones that are a dark velvety texture that are the colour of night time....
If I say B I would be then met with
A) get out of my shop no fins for you
B) oh black like the night sky as opposed to blue like daytime.
C) hey dickhead I wanted the colour not a poem.
Also how is black even close to the opposite of white, day sky blue night sky black, water in day blue, water at night black, shatky water down south, black water.. anyway I digress don't really know where I'm going with this now... But black is a colour.

Seriously!

it wasn't the one I was looking for (Rolling Stones version of course) but seemed to work, especially as they were in a cemetery.
