A fleet of aspiring and reigning champions will come together on Lake Macquarie this week to contest the Zhik Australian 49er Championship 2010-11. Wangi RSL Amateur Sailing Club will host the event from the 27th to the 30th of November. Australia fields a very strong 49er fleet, led by reigning champions Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen, who will return to the east coast fresh from their runaway win last week at the Perth International Regatta. New Zealand representatives Peter Burling and Blair Tuke, after achieving a fourth in Perth, will contest the Australian title, as will Outteridge and Jensen's training ...
