The Monsoon Cup is set once again to welcome its patron the King of Malaysia, Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, His Royal Highness Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Almarhum Al-Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billal Shah for the event's curtain raiser, the Coronation Cup on 30 November, held especially in honour of His Royal Highness. Formerly known as the Terengganu Cup, The Coronation Cup was last staged in 2007 as a tribute to His Majesty's installation as 13th King of Malaysia.
