More than 160 racing yachts, sportsboats and off-the-beach catamarans, dinghies and windsurfers will provide a spectacle of sail on Hobart's River Derwent this weekend when the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania conducts its second annual The Showdown sailing regatta. The regatta is regarded as an important lead-up for Tasmanian sailors contesting national championships this coming summer and has attracted many of State's leading adult and youth sailors. Racing for the keelboat classes will open with a twilight spinnaker race starting at 5.30pm on Friday evening, 29 October.
