The 40 footers are storming up the Derwent River, who will win the 2009 Rolex Sydney Hobart race?
Tony Kirby and his Patrice Six crew have beaten Niklas Zennstromm's Ran, and there are a whole group of 38-40 footer who can win.
Dr. Andrew Saies' Beneteau First 40 Too True, from the Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia, was leading the overall IRC corrected time calculations from another First 40, Wicked (Mike Welsh) from Sandringham YC.
Two True could take two hours off Ran's time, hours inside the time needed to win.
Two True will have to face the Jury, with a Protest resulting from a Sydney Harbour collision with the Tasmanian Todd Leary's Inglis 39 She's the Culprit. She's the Culprit was holed in a collision had to retire immediately.
