The Rolex Sydney Hobart, the 628 nautical mile blue water ocean classic begins at 1.00pm this afternoon on Sydney Harbour.
The day is cool, the skies overcast and drizzle falling... but nothing dampens the spirit of the crews preparing for race. The excitement is building as the countdown continues to the start of the great race.
Four or five helicopters are already buzzing the spectator fleet...
