'Opti Sailors - Canadian Optimist Championships'

Young sailors from France, Bermuda, Switzerland, Canada, and the United States have gathered in Hamilton, Ontario at the Royal Hamilton Yacht Club for the Optimist Canadians. being held from August 20 - 22. To day was the practice race, which was hampered by rain and light winds, and the opening ceremonies. The young sailors also had a rule 42 clinic run by Jury Chair, Robert Stewart, with young Alex from Vancouver on the water demonstrating the roles, tiller movements, pumps, and rocks that are prohibited. Diane Reid, once an Opti sailor herself, and just returned from a 100 mile race
