New Records Set at the Zhik Australian 470 Championship 2010

Mathew Belcher and Malcolm Page retain their Australian 470 Championship title for the second year, sailing home once they secured the victory after winning all nine races they competed in.

Australian Sailing Team Head Coach and 470 Guru, Victor Kovalenko excitedly explained, 'Mathew & Malcolm have set a very unique new record in winning every race they competed in this Australian Championship. It is a very special achievement'.

Winning the final race and the silver medal was Samuel Kivell and William Ryan who won by nine points over Singapore's, RoyJun Hao Tay and Terrence Seng Kiat Koh.

Western Australia's Stacey Omay and Chelsea Hall also retain their title as the Australian Women's 470 Champions for the second year, finishing 4th overall. Victor said, 'Our top ladies team, Stacey & Chelsea have also set the record of winning all the races in the Women's 470 Championship'.
