Club Marine NSW Youth Match Racing Championship saw Jay Griffin and his crew of Ted Hackney and Will Parker, representing the host club, the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia finish the first day of the event with a perfect scorecard of nine wins. With the course laid in Rushcutters Bay and a shifty south sou'westerly breeze, Griffin made his intentions clear winning his first match by a quarter of a leg from fellow CYCA skipper Keats Thompson.
