NSW Maritime today issued advice to boat owners to take extra care with forecasts for adverse boating conditions from the Hunter to the Tweed. With forecasts for strong winds, rising seas and thunderstorms along the north coast until the weekend, NSW Maritime advises skippers to check the weather prior to any boating activity. Seas increasing to 3.5 metres are forecast in places, making bar crossings potentially hazardous. Heavy rain could cause rising waters from Taree to Yamba, and skippers are advised to take extreme care on any affected waterways. People should remain alert, even after the rain has stopped, and
