Kidder Williams Melbourne to Launceston update.

Paul Buchholz's DK46 'Extasea' is closing in on the finish at Low Head at the mouth of the Tamar River, near Launceston, Tasmania.

This is fantastic news, as they should be able to call it stumps, roughly the same time as the Aussies do at the MCG.

And it would be a good bet to think that soon a lot others will join the party too!

The slippery Cookson 40 from RGYC, 'Akatea' has just informed us they are but 29nm from the finish line. They will be the second boat home in the Kidder Williams Melbourne to Launceston and they radioed in at about 1630hrs to tell us they were making 13knots boat speed in wonderful northwesterly breezes.
