McConaghy built all three of the 'winningest' Supermaxis the world has ever seen and according to sportsbet.com.au, they are the smart money in the showdown for this year's Rolex Sydney Hobart.

'Based on all the results in and around Sydney recently, I can certainly see that all three of the boats that we built, are going to duke it out, all the way to Hobart. I guess it is now down to what sort of weather we get', commented McConaghy co-owner Jono Morris today. As he is racing on one of them, he was quick to also point out 'As long as it is 1, 2, 3 - McConaghy - Mark and I will be delighted', Jono then added for his co-owner Mark Evans, as a sign of bipartisanship.

Why wouldn't they be the shortest odds either? Alfa Romeo, ICAP Leopard and Wild Oats XI have completely dominated everything they have taken on, by demolishing records and racking up wins, at a rate never seen in the sport previously. This is definitely why there is a healthy 10-point gap to the next vessel, a seemingly insurmountable chasm, which makes an even more emphatic comment about the strength of these three amazing Supermaxis from McConaghy.

'It is terrific that these three will be racing for one and even possibly both, of the McConaghy Cups, which are those custom engraved powerboat carbon fibre wheels for the campaign tenders', said Mark today. 'We really wanted to ensure that this historic homecoming event, where they will be together for the first time, was marked with a tribute to our clients and the passion we all share for the sport and the technology that enables it', Mark then went on to add. 'The McConaghy Cup is yet another element for McConaghy owners and fans the world over to keep an eye on and not just for the six examples of McConaghy innovation represented in this years Rolex Sydney Hobart', Jono added.

So the smart money at sportsbet.com.au certainly is on McConaghy then. Probably not too surprising when you make some of the fastest boats on the planet - from a Mach 2 Foiling Moth to a Supermaxi - and everything else in between.
