The Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron has launched a brand new race scheduled to debut on Saturday 8 January 2011. Not to be confused with the 'other' Manly, this race will start in Brisbane off the bayside suburb of Manly. The Manly to Paradise race will commence at 0900 hours on Moreton Bay east of Green Island. The boats will sail north to Finders Reef off the tip of Cape Moreton then south along the pristine coastlines of Moreton and Stradbroke Islands, finishing off Main Beach at Surfers Paradise.
