The official opening of The 2010 Luderitz Speed Challenge was marked with a ceremony at Luderitz Bay Yacht Club on Saturday the October 2nd. Competitors from 15 different countries gathered at the Yacht Club along with prominent business people from Luderitz, The Deputy Mayor of Luderitz Town, sponsors and the media. Guests were welcomed by the event organizers, Sebastien Cattelan and Sophie Routaboul. The Deputy Mayor welcomed everyone and thanked them for their continued support in promoting Luderitz Bay not only as a tourist destination but as the new Mecca for wind driven sports.
