Dave Lister yesterday took first place in the 2009 Foiler 1 Dash For Cash on what was a spectacular day of high performance slalom foiler racing.

12 of the best sailors in the world battled it out through the heats as 80 captivated spectators witnessed some of the fastest most exciting foiler racing and crashes Sydney Harbour has ever seen.

When the time had arrived for the final race the sailors remaining included Nathan Outteridge, two times 49er world champion, John Harris Foiler World Champion 2008 and Dave Lister, the fastest foiler 1 sailor in the world.

Lister's amazing speed was seen when, after being a little late off the blocks, he rolled both John Harris and Nathan Outteridge before the second turn mark of the final.

Nathan and John both pushing it to the very limits in order to have any chance of winning had a massive collision with each other knocking them both out of the race.

Nathan describe it as one of the worst crashes he has ever had and felt lucky that no one was seriously injured.

All the sailors raced really well and the Sailtec Girls, Race Commentary and DJ kept everybody entertained for the afternoon.
