With less than a week to go, entries are now rolling in for the regatta, with over 100 boats expected to be sailing in the two day event this coming weekend, the 14th-15th November.
This is the biggest pre-Christmas event on Port Phillip and is a great event to get the crew ready for the ocean and club events over Christmas and the New Year.
With racing for all boats, from Trailables to the Division 0 boats, this event has something for all.
In addition there are two prizes of sails to the values of $5,000, donated by Col Anderson of Doyle, and Dave Eickmeyer of Quantum.
Names of the winners of each division will be placed into the hat, and 12 names drawn out to decide the contestants for the two races. The prizes will be awarded to the winner of each race run in the club's Pacers, immediately after the presentation on the Sunday.
The skipper of the boat drawn must helm the Pacer.
We suspect this may favour the smaller division guys, but whatever the outcome, two skippers will be very happy.
