The Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania each year makes a significant contribution to the development of young sailors when it conducts the RYCT Sail School over the first days of the September school holidays, introducing newcomers to sailing and lifting the skills of more advanced dinghy sailors. This year's Sail School will be held from 4-7 September and the Dinghy Group and sailing manager Richard Scarr have secured three prominent national coaches to pass on their skills and knowledge to young Tasmanian sailors. So far near 88 youngsters have nominated including 30 in the Beginner - Learn to Sail category.
