The record time for sailing the annual Launceston to Hobart ocean yacht race stands at just over 33 ? hours, but yachtsman Greg Prescott is confident he will set a record for a delivery trip from Hobart to Launceston (Beauty Point) tomorrow (Boxing Day) with his Melges 32, 2 Unlimited. But then he is not sailing the boat north, rather taking it on a large trailer up the Midlands Highway, leaving Hobart early on Boxing Day morning and aiming to reach Beauty Point by midday, a comfortable run of three to four hours.
