Laser Worlds 2010 day 1. Strong winds disrupted the Laser Worlds at Hayling Island Sailing Club, near Portsmouth on Sunday. With winds gusting to 25 knots in Hayling Bay, ahead of a forecast increase of gusts up to 40 knots, race officers cancelled the scheduled practice race. The first racing of the 2010 World Championship will be tomorrow Monday, with a scheduled start time of 13:00hrs for both the Senior and Junior fleets (Sunset tomorrow will be at 19:56) Winds in the 10-12 knot range are much more likely.
