Racing is underway at the 2010 Laser World Championship in Hayling Island, Great Britain, with Tom Slingsby the best placed Australian sailor after the opening two races. Slingsby ended day one seventh in the 160 boat fleet following an opening heat race win and an eighth place in the second to be six points off early leader Michael Bullot of New Zealand.
