International Cadet World championships being sailed at Puck in Poland, with seven Australian crews in the top ten of the fleet of more than 80 boats from around the world, the young sailors have started well. Victorian brothers Anton and Julian Sasson are second overall, Tasmanians Ella Connor and Hannah Chadwick third, and Alec and Samantha Bailey in sixth place after the opening day of racing. The Sassons come from Sandringham Yacht Club while the two Tasmanian crews are members of Sandy Bay Sailing Club, carrying on a tradition that has season the beachside club produce many national and world ...
