Governor's Cup day 1 racing. On the first day of racing, the international field of racers and umpires gathered early for breakfast and a final briefing, then prepared their boats and were towed out to the race course. With wind from six nine knots, the weather cooperated, making a noon start possible for the match racing. Each of the thirteen teams will race every other team twice in the double round robin.
