Brett Hobson and Alex Johnson aboard Garde sailed to Victory in the Parramatta river championship on Sunday.

The win is the crews second successive victory in the 12ft skiff interclub series and gives then a handy overall lead. Dimension Polyant Nick Press and Brad Yabsley fought hard to stay with Garde but had to settle for second with Lincoln Crowne Jonathon Temple and Richard Jones coming in third.

Handicap Honours went to Hey Charger Nick Bernard and Glenn Farguahar.

The 20 strong 12ft skiff fleet had to use all their skills on show to deal with the blustery conditions with plenty of thrills and spills. The racing proved valuable practice for the upcoming state titles contested out of Lane Cove 12ft Skiff Sailing club, Abbotsford 12ft Flying Squadron and Sydney Flying Squadron.
