This Friday from 2:30pm at Woollahra sailing club, Slam, Mach 2, Ka Sails and Advantage constructions are putting on Sailings biggest opener! The Foiler 1 dash for cash! Close racing at over 20knots with 30kgs of foiling carbon!

Not Since the 18ft Skiff GP have we had something like this in Sydney. The team at Sailtech GP, a new Sydney based organisation that runs speed sailing events, is reviving the GP dream!

An afternoon in the sun watching the best foiling moth sailors in the country do battle on the two speed sailing courses.

The first course is the 'slalom' course. Similar to slalom skiing, the sailors will start on a reach, gybe around 3 marks then work back to the Finish. The second, the 'head to head' course, 2 or 4 sailors will reach across the start gate heading in opposite directions, rounding their own gybe marks then go head to head back across the gate, out to the opposite gybe mark then back to the gate in the middle! If this sounds confusing ..come down and check it out, you won't be disappointed!

Loads of other fun stuff and spectator give-aways. Two Free dinners at the famous 'Catalina' restaurant, Free red Bull and BBQ and DJ Nick Maurice on the decks all afternoon to spice things up.

The foiling moth GP is a concept the Sailtech guys have rescued! More events like this are in the pipeline for early next year with unconfirmed venues such as Sydney's Shark Island and Queensland's Gold coast. So come down and have a Red Bull and a sang, check out these mental bits of carbon they call foiling moths and show your support for spectator sailing!
