Comments invited on Yachting Australia Special Regulations

Interested parties are invited to comment on draft amendments to the Yachting Australia Special Regulations. The draft amendments address a range of issues including hull design and construction standards, the wearing of PFDs, GPS capability in EPIRBS and PLBs, and lifebuoys. ABS and ISO 12215 Construction Standards It is clear that Amendment one regarding Hull Construction Standards (Scantlings) issued in June 2009 did not allow sufficient transition time from ABS to ISO 12215 requirements.
