CRMC Autumn Open B regatta is underway. Yesterday's puffy, gale force winds subsided enough with their shift to the northeast to yield lumpy but sailable conditions today at the Chicago Match Race Center's (CMRC) Autumn Open B regatta. Sakamoto Wataru (JPN) has taken an early lead on an impressive record of 9 wins in the pack of ten teams hailing from three countries at this ISAF Grade 3 event. Lake Michigan's big onshore swells refracting off the Belmont Harbor seawall produced this venue's characteristic huge choppy waves, which along with an irregular breeze varying from 8 to 13 knots challenged
