The Auckland International Boat Show opened for the trade yesterday at 4.00pm. Today, Thursday is the first of four days when the Boat Show opens to the public at 10.00am and closes at 6.00pm.
Sail-World's camera went for a walk around part of the show yesterday.
For the first time the event is integrated with the Louis Vuitton Trophy, and it is a quick walk from the Halsey Street entrance where the crews come ashore after racing in the regatta to the Louis Vuitton Media Centre,
One of the features of the show this year are the interactive shows that are conducted in the Cruising and Safety Hall each day, in the old Team New Zealand base. The full schedule is contained in the official boat show program.
Make sure you drop into the Sail-World stand, just inside the Halsey Street entrance. We are running Sail-World live from the show - so it's a great opportunity to see first hand how Sail-World is put together.
On the Sail-World stand we are featuring images from the 2010 America's Cup, and other events which we have attended over that past 12 months or so. We've also got plenty of sailing video on the screen behind the Sail-World stand.
