On the street all is quiet on the
America's Cup
with various meetings underway, some already labelled inconclusive, in New York to try to resolve the impasse ahead of New York Supreme Court 's Justice Shirley Kornreich 'going arbitrary' on the venue, in a written decision expected next Wednesday. At that time too, the other matters raised by Kornreich just over a week ago should also be resolved.
While the offer of an eastern Australian venue was made by Societe Nautique de Geneve, with Geelong, Southport, Hervey Bay and Hamilton Island all keen to play, tho' only Southport seems to meet the critera of open water, with the infrastructure to make it happen,(we spoke to the Gold Coast City Mayor and SYC Commodore on Friday night), it seems very likely that Valencia will be the venue - by mutual agreement or not.
Today Sail-World has more images of the broken $10 million dollar mast and the first images of Godzilla's rigid wing, not quite the size of two 747 wings!! A kind of Macquarie Yellow Pages - all growed up!!
With the season approaching for all the Class Nationals- please ensure YOUR Class or Association PR person know how to submit event/regatta/class/boat news by
Clicking Here
We'd love a preview, daily reports and a wrap - we do need at least one landscape image, but why stop at one, we want three at least 1280px wide.
There's a new big icon on the home page of
www.sail-world.com
to make it even easier for them.
Many thanks for your help and input, we're here to help sailing, and help those who wish to help themselves. Remember there is NO reason for your class and its sponsors not getting to our audience.
We average around 13,000 readers a day, this month we will hit 180,000 individual readers!!!
Good sailing!
