America's Cup: San Francisco named as venue for 34th Match

Larry Ellison's hometown, San Francisco, has been named as the Defence venue for the 34th America's Cup by the Defender Golden Gate yacht Club. In a just released statement, Golden Gate YC syas that the West Coast city 'has put forward a strong, wellrounded venue proposal, and is now the only city in the USA under consideration to host the 34th America's Cup match.' The decision knock out other bids from San Diego, Long Beach and Newport, RI.
