Friday start delayed, today in Valencia, the poster says 'YA ES HORA' or 'It's about Time!'

Too true it's about time we saw some races. However it's in fact another rest day. Both boats stayed put, USA 17 with the wing up even though gusts must have been higher than 20 kts.

For tomorrow, we have more of the same and we just got the news that the start is again postponed a couple of hours.

The lastest local shipping forecast says:
'AGUAS COSTERAS DE VALENCIA:
NOROESTE FUERZA 3 A 4 DISMINUYENDO GRADUALMENTE DURANTE LA MANANA
A VARIABLE FUERZA 2 A 3. MAREJADA FUERA DE LA PROTECCION COSTERA
CON AREAS DE FUERTE MAREJADA AL NORTE; DISMINUYENDO GRADUALMENTE
DURANTE LA MANANA A MAREJADILLA.'

Which means Northwest wind force 3 to 4, bad seas off the coast diminishing during the day.

So what do you do while the met guys try to sort it out?

You continue visiting Valencia, especially the modern part of the town where an old river has been diverted and its old bed converted to a park with different attractions.

It is called the City of Arts and Sciences and sports one of the coolest Oceanographic Museums in the world. There are dozens of aquariums and displays including a dolphin show. We did meet several of the sailing fans during the day as that was the thing to do.
