Entries close this week for 2009 Short Ocean Racing Championship to be held across the weekend of 28 & 29 November. The racing offers competitors a variety of divisions in which to participate.
IRC & PHS Cruiser/Racer Division - a common Start/Finish in Sydney Harbour with a Short Ocean Passage Race each day (two races scheduled over two days). This year will also be a CYCA Ocean Pointscore and MHYC Ocean Pointscore race.
IRC Racer Class (with appropriate Divisions) and for the first time this year ORCi Class will race Windward/Leeward Courses on the Manly Circle Course Area (six races are scheduled over two days with a maximum of four races per day). Alternative heavy weather courses may be sailed in Sydney Harbour if conditions warrant. Yachts may enter both IRC Racer Class and ORCi Class, subject to sufficient entries and their fit into existing IRC Racer Division parameters.

Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA) Ocean Pointscore (OP) Entrants, Saturdays Short Ocean Passage Race of the SSORC is Race 4 of the CYCA OP. Yachts entered in this Pointscore are not required to pay an Entry Fee, but shall submit an online entry at ssorc.mhyc.com.au.
Middle Harbour Yacht Club (MHYC) Ocean Pointscore Series (OPS) Entrants, Saturday is Race 3 and Sunday Race 4 of the MHYC OPS. Yachts entered in this Pointscore are not required to pay an Entry Fee, but shall submit an online entry at ssorc.mhyc.com.au.
