Has anyone had the chance to try the new range of foils from takoon (or owns one)? There are very few (although pretty positive) reviews to be found and the prices are very interesting. Appreciate any feedback!

Hi yes I have been using the Flare 1050 (with the Carve 190 stab) for over a month now, and love it (wing foiling). Takoon really needed a performance foil and I think that the Flare is just that, everyone I know who tested it are super impressed. I know they have been some complaints about Takoon changing the fuselage connection, ie you will need the new fuselage V3 with the front wing if you already have a Takoon foil, but honestly for the price, this really isn't an issue. And the V3 fuselage is not only lighter than the V2 version, the connection is SOLID, especially with the 3 M8 screws it doesn't move and it is way easier/quicker to change over the front wings (I use the same fuselage with the new Pump foil 1700 and nothing move) + the Mast and stab are still compatible, so no big deals and a real improvement in my view.I'm now planning on getting the Flare 850 for stronger wind conditions although so far I had no problem even in 25/30knts with the Flare 1050, but I guess the 850 will be even more loose and more speed in faster waves. I'm 85kg by the way. I know few guys in France have been using the 950 and are saying the same thing about the 950, can't wait to see what the 850 can do. I will probably get the 1400 for sup foiling too later, since the 1050 gets up early, the 1400 should be a treat sup foiling, oh and the 1050 does work great surf foiling too. But first I'm waiting for the delivery of my 2 new VX Pro in Aramid, and need to finish to pay for these before getting more foils ??

Thank you for the reply and all the information. I'd love to try it but at my spot there are almost no people riding Takoon Foils. I'll be in South France soon, maybe i'll find a chance there :-)

Can you compare the Flare to F-One sk8 or seven seas if you have tried any of those? How is it in terms of take-off and glide compared? Thanks!
