I ordered a couple of these for my slalom booms as soon as they came back in stock at Lisa. I ordered the 160cm length but what arrived was a 120 section with the logo and length markings, and a separate 40cm black section. It wasn't an issue, although I wasn't sure whether to overlap or butt them up against one another. In the end I did the latter and installed my adjustable outhaul clamp over the join so durability shouldn't be a problem.
I have so far installed one on my 190-240 Mauisails boom. That boom has a very wide tail section and another wide section near the clamp, so I was a little worried that the Lisa wouldn't slide on, but once the boom clips were removed the new grip slid on easily. Installation is straightforward and nowhere near as fussy as with a boom wrap. I did overheat one section to the point where it started to bubble rather than shrink - just me being impatient. I pierced the bubbled section a few times to let the air out, and then took a small section of the black tubing and shrank that over the bad area, which has worked just fine so far.
Performance is just terrific - much better texture than with the (much less expensive) fishing-rod shrink-wrap. After several outings there is no visible wear whatsoever. Grip thickness is pretty thin - which is ok on the big Mauisails boom but the other grip is intended for an RDG and I'm not sure how to handle that one. I have huge hands - size 12 or XXL gloves, and the very thin booms don't ever feel right to me. So, I may just install the Lisa over the existing grip (a fishing-rod-shrinkwrap) to keep the diameter in a comfortable range.
where did you order from?
what was the final price?
where did it ship from?
any GST if shipped from overseas?
I ordered direct from lisawindsufing.shop. Shipping to USA was $25 so the total was $171 for two grips. More expensive than wrap grips but much, much easier to install. My twelve year old Mauisails boom looks and acts new.
How awesome.. I mean selling Fishing Pole Shrink grips at 1000% more to windsurfing folk here is the next level.. LOL

I wonder how much better than this www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08V19VSFQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&th=1&psc=1 the Lisa wrap is? I spent $10 for a 100 cm long piece ...
What did you use to take off the old grip? I want to use turpentine, as described elsewhere, but I cannot find a tube of some sort, to put the arms of the boom in and add turpentine, to do so.

I have the Amazon shrink-to-fit on another Mauisails Boom so I can give you a direct comparison. Both are equally easy to install. The Amazon version has some kind of heat-activated glue inside while the Lisa also includes a two-part adhesive which is applied to the bare boom. Once installed the Lisa feels completely secure. I've had to re-heat the Amazon stuff a couple of times as it's loosened with use. The big difference is in texture. The Lisa has a sort of sueded surface with a little give to it which offers a much nicer feel than the smoother rubber of the Amazon version. Even roughed-up with sandpaper the amazon stuff has relatively hard feel, with little cushioning. Amazon is US$10, Lisa US$65. but on a boom which would cost $700+ to replace, the Lisa feels like a pretty reasonable investment.
As far as removing the old grip, if you can find a long, thin plastic bag, such as might be used to protect a golf club or fishing rod for shipping that great. Otherwise use tape and cut up a few plastic bags to make a long, narrow tube. Seal it at one end to each side of your boom, then slosh Turpentine or Mineral Spirits in there, tape up the top and leave it for a few hours. Once you open it up the old grip will scrape off pretty easily. Complete the cleanup with alcohol, or just soap and water.
