For those that have experience with the L41 boards, I'm curious what your thoughts about durability are. How the deck holds up to your heels is what I'm most curious about. Thanks for any info.
I've had 2, the first had lightest construction I think single 6 oz on deck but not sure. I got dents in standing area pretty quick even with pad which was a little discouraging when the board was new. They never got worse and never delaminated so now I think is not an issue maybe even a positive to have a little dent for your heel to go. My 2nd board I ordered with an extra patch in standing area and it didn't dent. They are made in stretch surfboard factory with surfboard construction plus carbon rails and carbon center strip if you want it. Overall it's not as durable as a composite production board like jimmy lewis or infinity and will dent easier than sunova. But I really like the light weight and flex/feel of my first l41 and if I get another I'm ordering light glass and just hope I don't destroy it while it's still new. This construction is also significantly cheaper and combined with getting custom what you want is a good deal.

Pressure dents are really a non-issue, don't bother.
Pressure dents have nothing to do with durability.
Plus I like them as they serve as an handy reference point.
I'd rather have pressure dents than extra weight to reinforce the deck needlessly.
Also, some people will exert much more heel pressure than others. And if you knee-paddle, even more.
I put pressure dents even in my PVC sandwich boards.
Disclaimer: I never rode a L41 board.
I've only had mine for ~11 months so not as much experience as SLS. I haven't noticed any pressure dents on mine. There are a couple of barely noticable hairline cracks in the glassing that I assume were from some contact with paddle on whipeout - I hit the board hard a couple times and thought for sure there would be a ding. My deck pad started peeling off immediately but I've been able to get it back on with contact cement. The rails don't show marks as much as my infinity boards, I still put rail tape on but maybe didn't have to.
I really like my lower volume ST, just had it out for the first time since fall and it was so much fun
Funny you mentioned Jimmy Lewis and Infinity..had JL and yes no dents or impressions. Currently with Infinity, I'm not sure there is a better construction out there.certainly up there in the best. Feels good under my feet too. I had a few surfs on a board made similar to the construction you mention and it felt great too.that surfboard under your feet feeling.
I've had an L41 popdart. Seems solid as and decently light. I've also had carbon pvc jimmy lewis boards that still slightly compressed in the deck after a lot of use

How do you like pop dart?
