I've been given about three vgc best kites from a friend of a friend they've been in the cupboard for years to make good..use for a bit and then give back..
Question ..this red valve plug thing has snapped on 2 of them and gone into the bladder
Sooo... I have a heap of spare other main valves Boston cabrinha etc core etc ..in my spares bag.was going to just replace with one of these..
But the diameter for these doesn't seem wide enough unless I put a valve trap on (maybe)...or put a patch of bladder over the hole and start from scratch with right size hole diameter
1 I was wondering if there was another way to replace just this red pin thing (the pin thing from the others isn't the same)...as the twist lock mechanism is fine...as are all the other valves....(although they had all come off...so got reseated etc..)..
2 trying to avoid messing with the main bladder which is great and intact by putting a patch over it and smaller hole ... Soooo which replacement valve has the biggest circumference (?!)
Anyone have any ideas for just the red pin ?
Is there any way to get around this by putting something else where the red pin is ??..slightly confused on how the red pin can just snap is that normal on these ?.....
Or valve trap or bladder extension on a new valve..
Preferably it would be cool to keep it as it is with twist lock but with all the spares I have to be honest I don't really want to order and buy a new twist lock
Anyone ever seen the same pin on anything even at the hardware shop?
Or...does anyone have two best twist lock valves for sale from their spares bag for two broken pin bests... Or ..shall I just use one of the others and put a bigger diameter on

Here's the back of best twist lock...does that mean it's totally fkd##? And beyond repair ??... I can't find the actual mechanism of best twist lock valves on YouTube or google...
Have heaps of spare twist lock Boston etc valves but circumference too big without removing that rubber bit and putting it on them with Velcro....here's just two of them ...
Is there any way to save this original best twist lock valve or do I basically have to get another one or valve trap etc one of the other valves
I'd like to try and keep the best kites the same as they were as I've made dozens of frankenstein kites that work fine 
..
But obviously if possible U try to keep them as 'original' as possible ...
Anyone know how to fix this or selling recyclable 2nd fifth hand twist lock valves from fkd up ruined best kites ? Am pro recycling..
